Dear Teachers, Students and Families:

West Virginia University will be hosting its annual WVU and WVU Extension Service Day at the Legislature on January 21, 2020 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Capitol in Charleston. This free event not only serves as an opportunity for children to participate in civic engagement with our state and local leaders, it also provides unique, hands-on learning experiences for students and adults.

This year, the Day at the Legislature falls on a day when many students may be off from school due to a scheduled professional development day in Kanawha County. We want to invite you, your students and families to attend this special event where you can participate in a number of interactive exhibits and learn about STEM, arts, culture, camps and more. There also will be a photobooth, giveaways, games and other activities. This is a great opportunity to get out of the classroom/house and explore programs and resources available through West Virginia University.

We hope you will join us for this free event. If you are interested in bringing a large group, please reach out to Tara Curtis (304-293-7996 or tara.curtis@mail.wvu.edu).

Let’s Go!
