Kanawha County Schools is excited to begin the elementary pilot for the virtual program in the 2019-20 school year. This pilot will allow 15 Kanawha County 3rd - 5th graders to participate in a full-time or part-time virtual school program. This program is free to students who are currently being homeschooled and public school students in Kanawha County.
“After successful pilot programs with both our middle school and high school populations, we have designed a program for elementary school students that will allow for increased flexibility for those who need it most,” said Valery Harper, executive director of Kanawha County Schools Virtual School. “We know through experience and successes the support system that needs to be in place to help students. We look forward to expanding this program and its support system to elementary school students.”
